Aezona CostLens is a cloud cost optimization platform that connects to your AWS accounts, detects waste and inefficiencies, and gives you actionable AI-powered recommendations — with one-click fixes.
Prerequisites
Before connecting your first AWS account, make sure the following are in place:

| AWS account with billing access | Required | You need an AWS account and a user or role with sufficient permissions to create IAM roles and view billing data. |
| AWS Cost Explorer enabled | Required | Cost Explorer must be enabled in your AWS account (Billing & Cost Management → Cost Explorer → Enable). It is free and data begins populating within 24 hours of activation. |
| IAM permissions to create roles | Required | Your AWS user needs iam:CreateRole, iam:AttachRolePolicy, and iam:PutRolePolicy to set up the CostLens cross-account role. |
| CostLens Admin role | Required | Only users with the Admin role in CostLens can connect AWS accounts. |
| Apply-fix permissions | Optional | To let CostLens apply one-click fixes, add a CostlensApplyFix inline policy to the IAM role. See AWS Accounts for the exact policy JSON. |
Enable Cost Explorer first
If this is your first time, enable AWS Cost Explorer first — it can take up to 24 hours to activate and billing data won't appear until it does.
