Organizations & Teams

Create an organization, invite teammates, and manage roles.

Updated September 20263 min read

An organization is a shared Aezona workspace: everyone in it sees the same support cases once that workspace is active (see Switching Workspaces), and any of them can invite more teammates in.

This page covers organizations at the Aezona account level — the identity you use to sign into auth.aezona.com and the Support Portal. If you're looking for CostLens's own team/roles system (Admin, Operator, FinOps, Viewer), see CostLens → Team Management instead — the two are separate.

Creating an organization

If you signed up with an Organization account (see Account Types), your organization already exists and you're its Owner — skip ahead to inviting a teammate.

If you have a Personal account and want to start one:

Open Team

From your account menu, go to Team.

Create an organization

Enter your organization's name and click Create organization.

You're the Owner

Your new organization becomes your active workspace immediately, and you're its Owner. Nothing about your existing Personal account, its history, or its cases is affected — you can switch back and forth freely (see Switching Workspaces).

Inviting a teammate

Only Owners and Admins can invite teammates.

Switch to the organization

Use the workspace switcher to make sure the right organization is active — invites are sent from whichever workspace is currently active.

Open Team

Go to Team from your account menu.

Send the invite

Enter your teammate's email address, choose a role (Admin or Member), and click Send invite.

They accept

Your teammate receives an email with a link. If they're new to Aezona, they set a name and password to create their account. If they already have an Aezona account, they confirm with that account's password. Either way, they land in the organization immediately after accepting.

Invite links expire

Invite links are valid for 48 hours. If one expires, simply send a new invite to the same email address.

Roles

AdminYesYesYes — Admins and Members only, not Owners
MemberYesNoNo

Every organization must always have at least one Owner. You can't remove or demote the last remaining Owner — promote a second person to Owner first if you need to step back.

Changing a member's role

Switch to the organization

Make sure it's your active workspace.

Open Team

Find the member in the list.

Change their role

Use the role dropdown next to their name. The change takes effect immediately.

Removing a member

Click Remove next to a member's name on the Team page. This immediately ends their access to the organization's shared cases — it does not delete their Aezona account, which continues to work normally on their Personal workspace (or any other organization they belong to).
